Moyvane Notes – 15th April, 2007


Congratulations to Paddy Curtain on his fine display with the Kerry minors last week. Playing full-forward, Paddy scored 2-3 to help Kerry defeat Tipperary.

Kerry Education Service:
Kerry Education Service are looking for both men and women to become Voluntary Literacy Tutors. No qualification is needed as full training is given. A free training course is commencing shortly in Listowel. Contact Mary Swaine 068 23866.

KDYS  Listowel:
KDYS Listowel are holding a band night at Listowel Secondary Presentation Convent on Friday 20th April, between 8.30pm and 10.30pm. Entry is €3 and open to all teenagers. A strict no drug/alcohol policy will be in place. For more information, contact KDYS Listowel on 068 23744.

Moyvane GAA – Seniors:
The seniors had a mixed weekend, beating St. Senans on Friday night 0-11 to 0-8 and losing to Ballylongford on a scoreline of 4-10 to 0-11 on Saturday night (both County League games).


The seniors play Asdee away on Saturday 21st at 6pm in the N/K League.

The Juniors beat Ballyduff 0-11 to 0-8 in N/K League.

They are next playing at home to Desmonds on Tuesday, 24th at 7pm in N/K League.

The Minors play Ballyduff away on Friday, 20th at 7pm.

Coiste na nOg:
u/14s are travelling to Gneeveguilla this Wednesday. Bus leaves at 6pm.

Ladies Football:

Moyvane U12 played Ballyduff and had a great win. Congratulations to the players and trainer and all involved.

Training for U12 and U14 ladies takes place at 6.30pm on Wednesday, 18 April. Both teams play at home this week. U12 play Finuge/St Senans. U14 play Currow. Dates and times available from team members.

National Clean-Up Week:
April is National Clean-Up Week and people are asked to clean up their places, be it town, villages or countryside. Rubbish is being dumped in a site in the village.
