Deaths:
The death occurred recently of Mickey Egan of Coilbee, Listowel. Mickey was a real supporter of the GAA, his first love being Clounmacon and then Kerry. He went to every local match be it juveniles or seniors that were playing and he was always one of the first to arrive such was his dedication. Clounmacon football pitch was his pride and joy and he gave freely of his time maintaining the pitch. In his later years he was rewarded when his grandson Sean O’Sullivan became a member of the Kerry team and won the coveted All Ireland medals. Sincere sympathy to all his family on their loss but particularly to Madeline Nolan, Leitrim Middle. He is survived by his daughters Madeline, Pat, Marie, Nora & Kathleen and extended family.
The death also occurred, tragically, last week of Nora Quaid of Direen, Athea. Nora was a great supporter of Moyvane Bingo and rarely missed a night. Sincere sympathy to her family but in particular to her daughter, Breda Flaherty and her family.
Sympathy also to the Cunningham family on the death of Christina Melody nee Cunningham of Kilbaha who died in Ballinasloe during the week.
