Moyvane

Moyvane Notes – 15th January, 2005

GAA

THE Minors game with Duagh fixed for Knocknagoshel last Sunday was cancelled due to bad weather. This is hard on the lads as they have being training right through the break, and as of now we have no re-fixture date. Let’s hope it will on next week.

MEETING

A meeting of the Executive Committee of the GAA will take place on Wednesday night at 7pm sharp.

COLLECTION

The Annual Church Gate collection for the Community Centre will take place on Saturday and Sunday next. Please support.

SCHEME

A Fas Community Employment Scheme starts in Ballyloughran Centre on January 17. Places are available in the house, leisure centre and general maintenance. Contact Margaret Boyle 068-47222.

GUN CLUB

It has come to the club’s attention that game shooting took place in a sanctuary in the Moyvane area. We wish to remind all patrons that it is strictly forbidden to enter sanctuarys for the purpose of “feathers and fur”.

DEATH

The Parish was shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death following a car accident of 21-year-old Michelle Foley, Kilmeaney, Kilmorna. The accident happened not far from her home on Monday evening. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.

IT ACCESS

Bookings are now being taken for computer courses at Community IT Access, starting January 17. Contact the office on 068-36939
