A LOT of farmers in the locality have cattle housed and due to the atrocious weather conditions there is very little silage harvested and no turf has been brought home and at this time last year, many farmers had their turf brought home.

Seniors – Moyvane were unlucky to lose to Lispole in the County League on Saturday night last. Conditions for football were very bad after the heavy rain on Friday. However, both sides served some good passages of play. Moyvane looked to have sealed the points when John J. Mulvihill cut through for two excellent points near the end but in the very last attack of the game, Lispole got in for a well taken goal. Final score Moyvane 0-7, Lispole 1-5. Next Saturday, we are playing in the Michael Kennelly Cup. Players are asked to check posters for definite fixture.
Juniors – The juniors were defeated by Emmets in the final of the North Kerry League last week. this was a good game and the lads gave a great account of themselves. Emmetts have a much stronger panel and took their chances very well. final score: Moyvane 1-5, Emmets 1-10.
Then on Friday night they play a hard earned draw with John Mitchel’s in the Junior League. They are going along nicely in this competition and on this Friday night we are playing Desmonds in Moyvane at 8pm.
Tickets are available for the Kerry/Cork game from the club secretary. Terrace tickets are on a first come first served basis.
The June draw will take place on Saturday 29 for another Polo car, and an extra draw of €6349 for fully paid up members by the June draw which will take place before the July draw.
