Ladies Football: Congratulations to the Kerry team on winning the All Ireland u14 Football Plate Final played in Banagher at the weekend. Special congrats to Erin Finucane on a great performance, scoring 2-3. Well done and best wishes to all concerned on the Kerry team from all at Moyvane and Clounmacon Ladies clubs.

Senior Citizens:

A Fundraising Irish Night will take place in Mairéad’s Bar on Saturday, June 18th. Come along and enjoy a fun night with lots of music, song & dance. A draw will take place for a large hamper & other spot prizes on the night. Anyone wishing to make a donation or a spot prize would be very much appreciated.

Tag Rugby:
A training & demonstration session will be held at the Cashen Strand, Ballyduff on Friday, June 17th at 7pm for teams or individuals who are interested in taking part in the The Michael Freemantle Tag Rugby Memorial on June 26th, 2011.  Everybody welcome. Deaths:
The death has taken place of Winnie Sheehy, formerly Winnie Mangan, of Leitrim Middle, Moyvane. Her funeral Mass was held in St. Bartolomew’s  Church, Athea last Sunday and burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Athea. She is survived by her husband, sons and daughters, sisters Martha Enright, Leeds and Mary Blakeman, Birmingham.
Hannah Barnes nee McEnery was laid to rest with her parents in Old Knockanure last week. Born in Tubbertoureen, Moyvane, 93 years ago she lived most of her life in London. She is survived by her daughter Katie and two granddaughters. Sympathy is extended to all her family, particularly her brother Denny who lives in Tubbertoureen.
The death took place in Sheffield of Dan Scanlon late of Moher, Moyvane. He was son of Matt Scanlon and Margaret Fennell. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, daughters Margaret & Christine, sisters Peggy O’Connell & Catherine Barrett.
May they rest in peace.
