Moyvane Notes – 15th May, 2004

COMHALTAS

A COMHALTAS Mass will take place in Moyvane Church on Thursday 13th May at 8pm for all past and present members. Entries for the County Fleadh – all entries for the County Fleadh are to be with the secretary not later than Saturday 15th May. Phone 49967.

WELL DONE

Congratulations to Joan Kiely, Glin Road, and Eileen Kennelly, Gortdromagowna, both having completed a course of study in 2003 and 2004 were awarded diplomas in Special Needs Classroom Assistants from the School of Practical Child Care and the Froebel College of Education in Dublin recently.



ARTISTRY

The development association is presently completing a work of art at a wall on Church Street and also on a gable of house on Glen Street. The Work is being carried out by local artist Tony O’Connor. It is most important to keep the village litter free especially over the summer months.



SENIORS

Moyvane are back to County league action on Saturday night next when they travel to Tousist to play the locals in a vital game for our lads. To keep up we need to get a win so a big effort is hoped for and lets hope they can do it.



JUNIORS

Moyvane had a great win over Asdee in the North Kerry league last Saturday. This win should put them into the semi-final. They play Duagh in the final round of the league on Tuesday night in Duagh at 7.30pm.



UNDER 14

Moyvane play Ballylongford/Asdee in the semi-final of the County league on Mon. night in Tarbert at 7.30pm. Lets give them our full support on the night and the very best of luck to all of them.



UNDER 12

Moyvane play Aunascaul on Sun. night next in Aunascaul at 7pm. A bus will leave the corner at 5.30pm sharp.



DEATH

The death took place recently of Patrick Broderick, Coole East, Athea and late of Coilagurteen, Moyvane. He was in his mid seventies. His remains were removed to Athea Church on Saturday last, he was buried in Templeathea cemetery following requiem Mass on Sunday last.Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.
