MOYVANE BINGO
The committee of the Marian Hall and Moyvane Bingo and Blotto would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support during 2014. Because of you, the Bingo has gone from strength to strength and it has enabled the committee to increase the prizemoney on a regular basis. Over the past two weeks Christmas has been celebrated with prizemoney of 3,500 each night and with one more night to Christmas you can win some serious money again this week.  It is hard to believe that the first Bingo in the new Marian Hall was held on Thursday, December 11th 1997, seventeen years ago. Does time fly or what? Next week is Christmas. May you all have a very Happy Christmas, relax, enjoy, eat, drink and be merry.

SCHOOL CONCERT
Last Friday night’s Concert was most entertaining. The old saying that you should never work with children or animals was truly put to bed. The Concert kicked off with the little ones and their Nativity play. They were amazing, looking angelic as angels, shepherds, wise men and of course Mary & Joseph. It is some feat to organise all these little people. The dancers, the singers, the musicians, all from our local Murhur National School, were a credit to their parents and teachers. The sketch, “The School Around The Corner” performed by an unruly bunch was hilarious. The teachers and parents committee would like to thank you for supporting the concert on the night. A particular thank you to the past pupils of the school who chipped in with their time and expertise to help make the night such a success. This is some compliment and shows the bond between teachers and pupils remains even after they move on to with their lives. A night like this is a very important night in a child’s life and your support was vital for the well being of your child and the financial support of your school.

THE NATIVITY
The Annual Christmas Celebration of the Nativity will take place in the Corpus Christi Church, Knockanure at 6.30pm on next Sunday, December 21st.
