Moyvane Notes – 16th October, 2007

GAA – Seniors:
Moyvane kick off their North Kerry Championship campaign with a first round clash against Brosna. The game will be played on Sunday 21st October in Listowel at 1:30pm.

Knockanure Development Community Centre:

  • A coffee evening in aid of Telethon will be held in the centre on Friday, 19th October at 8pm. A social centre for older people is starting on Monday, 5th November in the centre. It will take place from 11am to 3pm with hot meals provided. Transport will be provided by Kerry Flyer. To book transport, phone 087-7476717. For futher information, contact 49438 or 23905 or 49250.
  • An information evening will also take place on Wednesday night, 24th October at 8.30pm in the centre.
  • Computer classes for the over 55's will take place in the centre on 6th November. Further information next week.
  • A Halloween Party will take place in the center Wed 31st from 7.30 to 9.30pm.

Tarbert & Ballylongford Development Associations:
Tarbert and Ballylongford Development Associations are facilitating a public meeting to be held in The Lanterns Hotel on Monday, October 29, 2007 (Bank Holiday Monday night) at 8pm sharp. Representatives of Shannon LNG will attend to answer any questions in relation to the proposed development. The full planning application, as submitted to An Bord Pleanala, is available for viewing in the Bridewell.

Moyvane/Knockanure Community Games:
Moyvane/Knockanure Community Games A.G.M. will be held in The Marian Hall on Nov 2nd at 8pm. It is essential for the continuation of the Games in the parish that parents of children who wish to participate in the 2008 games attend this meeting otherwise Community games in the parish will cease to operate.

Charity Walk:
The 3rd Annual 'Curves' Charity Walk for the Irish Cancer Society Action Breast Cancer will be taking place on Sunday 21st October at 11am in the Killarney National Park. Starting at Molly Darcy's. All monies raised will stay in the Kerry region. Sponsorship cards are available or if you would like to make a donation, please call 064 26663. All are welcome.
