THE Coinne Le programme will be shown on Saturday July 17, 9-10pm on TG4, featuring recordings from Mairead’s, and local poet Gabriel Fitzmaurice.


The Kerry Branch of the National Council for the Blind will hold their annual church gate collection on July 17-18.


The marriage took place of Eileen Nolan, Murhur and

John Horan, Aughrim, at the Church of the Assumption, Moyvane last Friday. The reception was held in the Devon Inn Templeglantine.


The Brothers of Charity thank all who helped in organising their sponsored walk which was held on June 20th from Cnoc an Oir to Tarbert in conjunction with Shannon Development and North Kerry Walks. Well done to everyone who completed the course.


The annual outing is on Wednesday July 21 to County Clare, costing €35 to be paid when booking with Eileen

Roche or Noreen Roche by Thursday July 15.


The Moyvane charity walk in aid of the Wheelchair Association takes place on Tuesday July 27 at 7.30pm. Sponsorship cards from Noreen Roche or Jill McCarthy


The death took place recently of Patrick O’Dowd, New York and late of Knockanure. His remains were removed to Knockanure Church on Sunday last, and he was buried in Gale Cemetery following Requiem Mass on Monday. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, sons, daughters, brother William, sister Nora, extended family and friends.
