After the Ball:
One of Moyvane’s most likeable local celebrities Eoin Hand, best known as international footballer and manager of the Irish team, launched his new CD on Monday. The CD was launched by Jimmy Magee in Dublin’s oldest pub "The Brazen Head". The pub holds special memories for Eoin as he was born there many moons ago. His mother, the wonderful Monica, ran the pub in the 1930s and ’40s. Eoin recorded the CD in memory of his late mother, who died earlier this year. Eoin’s CD, entitled After the Ball, was recorded in John B Keane’s pub in Listowel. It includes, apart from the title track, songs like Dublin in 1962 and The Voyage. All proceeds go to Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. So to help this magnificent cause, there are 2 more nights to celebrate the CD. On Tuesday, November 24th at at 7:30pm in St Johns’ Theatre, Listowel, Eoin "The Bomber" Liston will launch the CD. Additionally, on Wednesday November 25th 8pm it will be launched in Dolan’s Warehouse, Dock Road, Limerick. These are guaranteed to be great music nights.
