SAM
The Sam Maguire cup will be in the Marian Hall this Wednesday night at 7pm with members of this year’s winning Kerry team. Bring your young people along to celebrate the win, a very important achievement.

REMEMBERANCE MASS
Mass for those who died during the past 12 months will be celebrated on Friday, November 21st at 7.30pm in The Church of the Assumption, Moyvane. A candle will be lit for each of those to be remembered.  A special candle will be lit for the relatives of parishioners who died and are buried elsewhere. Family Members are invited to take part – to bring up Gifts, do a reading or read Prayers of the Faithful.
 
CHRISTMAS PARTY
Senior Citizens Christmas Party will be held in the Marian Hall on Sunday, November 23rd.  Mass will be at the earlier time of 12.30 followed by Dinner, Music & Dancing and Afternoon Tea, cost €15.  Book with Ita at 49134 or Maureen at 49365. Spot prizes would be appreciated.

SHOPPING
The ICA Annual Shopping Trip to Cork is on Wednesday, December 3rd.  Bus leaves Moyvane Village at 7.00am.  Cost is still only €16.  Book with Eileen Roche on 087 6679943.

FAMILY FUN DAY
The ICA Family Fun Day is on Sunday, November 30th in the Marian Hall, from 2pm – 4pm. A fun-filled afternoon guaranteed, including a Jumble Sale, Cake Sale and Book Sale. Try your luck at the Ring Board Game. Great prizes to be won such as a Giant Christmas Hamper!  Visit Santa and have a photograph taken with him. See you there.

GOOD LUCK
John Fitzmaurice, son of Brenda & Gabriel, works as a sous-chef in the Mustard Seed restaurant in  Ballingarry and was selected from among hundreds of entrants for the final  of the prestigious Euro-Toques Young Chef of the Year competition. At thefinal, which takes place this Sunday, November 23rd, he will have to cook for some of the  leading chefs in Ireland, with the winning dish to be judged by renowned British chef Phil Howard of two-Michelin-starred establishments,The Square in London  (and co-proprietor of the Ledbury and Kitchen W8). Just to get to the final, John had to go through a number of stages. The competition has 500 or 600 entries every year so being one of the final five is an achievement in itself. Best of Luck, John, Moyvane will be rooting for you.

MOYVANE BADMINTON
The Ladies and Mens Leagues commenced last week. Division 4 Men were at home to Listowel and won 4-2. The team was Jamie Elliott, John Newman, Felix Reali and Timmy O’Flaherty. Division 4 Ladies team of Krystle Crowley, Louise Behan, Michelle Corridan and Denise Collins were not so lucky and lost to Ballyheigue. Division 3 Men were away to County (Tralee) and won 4-2. The team here was John  Mulvihill, James Sheehan, Kevin Kennelly and Chris McCarthy. The November Handicap was played in The Aura, Killarney on Sunday. Moyvane results were Division 5 Micheal Nolan, Finalist, Division 4 Krystle  Crowley, Winner. Division 3 Winner was Timmy Hanrahan and Finalist, Jeanelle  Griffin.

RAMBLING HOUSE
Listowel Rambling House will take place in the Seanchaí Centre on Thursday November, 27th from 9.15 pm.  Admission free, tea/coffee served.
