Senior Badminton:
It was mixed fortunes for the Division 3 Ladies and Mens League teams in the finals played in Tralee on Wednesday night. The ladies defeated County (Tralee) 4-1 and while the men held Killarney to draw 3-3 they lost on points. Ladies team was Carmel Hudson, Jeanelle Griffin, Margaret O’Donnell and Saorcha Fitzgerald. The men’s team was Donnacha Moloney, Donie Enright, James Sheehan and Chris McCarthy. The Division 5 Ladies and Mens Leagues are about to start and the Mixed leagues continue.

Youth & Mental Health Awareness:
Youth & Mental Health Awareness meeting for parents will be held in the Listowel Family Centre on Thursday, February 27th at 7.30pm The meeting is being organised by North and East Kerry Development with presentations from Jigsaw Kerry, and Inspire Ireland Foundation who will explore the online supports that are available to young people and their parents. Free Entry. All welcome! This is a very important meeting to help parents understand their young people particularly with the pressures and stresses that are out there at the moment.

Moyvane GAA:
Coiste na nOg: The Coiste na nOg Awards Dinner will be held in the Lanterns Hotel on Friday, January 21st at 6:30pm sharp. Tickets are Adult €15.00 and Children €10.00 and are available from team trainers and Francis Leahy.  For further information contact Secretary Mairead O’ Sullivan on 086-3689061.
Calendars: Moyvane Coiste na nÓg have launched a 2011 calendar in acknowledgement of a very successful year in both youth football and Scór. All of the competing age groups won their divisions and this is an excellent achievement. The calendar is a collection of team photos from U8’s to U16’s and also contains some memorabilia pictures of past footballers and events of Moyvane GAA. All proceeds will go towards the running costs which were accrued during this fantastic year and will help to lay the foundation for another good year ahead for underage football. The calendar is on sale in a selection of local shops and businesses in Moyvane and Knockanure at a cost of €10.

Coiste na nOg AGM:  The Cosite na nOg AGM will be held in the Marian Hall on Friday, February 4th at 8pm. Anyone interested in taking up a position or helping out with a team please contact Mairead O’Sullivan on 086-3689061 as soon as possible. Trainers are needed for U12 and U16 teams, please help. 

Scór:  The North Kerry Final will be held in Asdee on Saturday, January 22nd at 7:30pm.  Moyvane are competing in 3 categories, Solo Singing, Ballad Group and Quiz. Best of luck to all involved.

Milford Hospice:

The Milford Hospice 5th anniversary Valentine’s Ball will be held at the Woodlands House Hotel on Saturday, February 19th, all proceeds in aid of Milford Hospice. The night will commence with a Mulled Wine reception in the lobby accompanied by music from All Ireland Comhaltas group from Templeglantine followed by a four course meal with complimentary wine. After dinner music by the fantastic party band, Bumblebee Honey. Disco ’til late with Brian O’Grady, DJB and all at the recession busting price of €35. North Kerry Macra Club:
North Kerry Macra Club will hold an information night in Lawlors, The Square, Listowel on Friday, January 21st at 9pm. Macra has always been an organisation that has contributed a lot to the education and social life of young farmers.

Divine Mercy Conference:
"Come To My Mercy" will be held in the RDS on the weekend of February 19th/20th. A weekend trip is being organised for the North Kerry/West Limerick area to this conference which promises to be a truly life changing experience. For information contact Sean at 087 4147001.      

Table Top:

Table Top sale at Knockanure Community Centre on Sunday, February 6th from 12 noon to 4pm. Are you Spring Cleaning? This is a great opportunity to get rid of unwanted items. A table costs €10.
