Tara Mulvihill has won her way into the Munster final of the solo singing in Scor. The Ballad group were unlucky not to qualify after performing very well.
The Blotto is going well and to clarify about the increases. The price is increased to two € and all prize money is increased by the same percentage. Match three will now be €200 and lucky dips will be €20. €200 will be added each week in the event of the jackpot not being won.

The death has occurred of Michael (Mikie) Moloney, Dromurhur at Tralee General Hospital. His remains were removed to Moyvane Church on Wednesday last. He was buried in Ahovoher cemetery, following Requiem Mass on Thursday last. He is survived by his brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
the Newtownsandes Co-Op sponsored invitation tournament was held in the Community Centre on Sunday, January 13. 50 players from divisions 2-3 and 4 competed and it was very satisfying that everyone who had entered, turned up to play their support is very much appreciated. The results were Division 2, the Mail Road, Cross Garden Centre Trophy winners: Linda McCarthy, Listowel and Timmy Griffin, Ballyheigue. Runner-up: Kathleen Gilbride, Ballyheigue and Paudie O’Shea, Caherciveen.
Division 3: The Eileen Mulvihill Memorial Shield winners: Nora Conyard, Moyvane and Patrick Corridon, Ballyheigue. Runner-up: Mairead O’Connor, Kingdom and John M. Mulvihill, Moyvane.
