A meeting will be held in The Marian Hall this Wednesday night at 8pm.
KDYS Listowel:
Opening hours: Monday to Wednesday – 9.30am to 5.30pm and Thursday and Friday 9.30am to 7pm. Guitar lessons will begin at KDYS, Listowel, on Thursday, January 22. from 5 to 6.30pm, Open to all 12 to 16 year olds. Cost €50 for 6 weeks. Childcare Course Fetac Level 4, beginning Wednesday, January 21 6.30pm to 8pm. Available to secondary school students only aged 15 – 19 years of age. Cost €30 for six weeks. Hip Hop Dance classes will begin on Tuesday, January 20 from 7.15pm to 8.15pm, cost €20 for six weeks. All the above classes will be held at KDYS Listowel. Register on the night. Tarbert Comprehensive School:
Adult Education Department will hold Cookery Demonstration classes beginning in February subject to sufficient number of participants, the attendance fee is €200 for six sessions. Basic Computer Skills – stage two, the cost of this series of classes is €50. Yoga, it is proposed to offer a class in Yoga again this term subject to sufficient numbers expressing an interest in attending the course, cost €100 per eight sessions. Knockanure Community Centre:
Aerobic/Yoga classes start on Wednesday, January 21 at 8pm for eight weeks. Limited places available. Intermediate Computer classes will begin on Monday, January 26 at 8pm and will run for eight weeks. Parent and toddler group meet every Thursday from 10am to 12 noon. New members are welcome. On Sunday afternoon, January 25 you can spend you can enjoy a tea dance from 3pm to 6pm. Music by Stevie Donegan. Spot prizes welcome. A Sewing class with Karen Moriarty will be held on Thursday, January 29 at 8pm. This will include dressmaking, alterations and tuition on the use of sewing machines. The parish was shocked at the sudden death of Eddie Cunningham who was found dead in his home last week. You could meet Eddie every morning on his bike with his briefcase on his way to the village. He is survived by his sister Mary Carmel, brothers Maurice & Pat and extended family.
The death has also taken place in Birmingham of Timmy Nolan of Leitrim Middle. He was the youngest member of the Nolan family and was predeceased by his brother John. He is survived by his wife Brenda, son Mark, daughters Julie, Maxine & Lisa, his brother, Mickie (Leitrim Middle), sisters Mary (Birmingham), Annie (Longford), grandchildren and extended family. May they rest in peace.
