Moyvane had a great win over Duagh in the final of the North Kerry league on Saturday night last. This was a game of two very different halves. In the opening half Moyvane played some of their best football of the year. Their fielding, movement and ability to take scores had them in a great position, 1-9 to 0-5 ahead at the break and looking very comfortable. Then in the second period Duagh came roaring back and a succession of points reduced the arrears. Moyvane tried all they knew but they could not stop the fight back. Duagh were well on top but the Moyvane lads were defending gallantly. Duagh had a few chances to level near the end but did not put them away so Moyvane held on for victory This was a great win for Moyvane as they put a huge effort in and now can go on and finish the year on a high note. Next weekend we are playing in the County Novice championship. Check local posters about definite fixture.
