Senior Badminton:
Another superb week for the club. On Wednesday the Division 4 mixed team lost 2-5 to County but by winning two games qualified for the Final against Killarney which will be played in Castleisland on Wednesday, April 10. Team was Francine Collins, Eleanor Sheehan, Krystel Crowley, Myles Kearney, Padraig Kearney, Timmy Hanrahan and Diarmuid Fitzmaurice. On Thursday the Division 5 Ladies team defeated Listowel 5 sets to 4. Team, Charlotte Fitzgerald, Michelle Corridan, Eileen Roche and Celia O’Grady, then on Friday night it was two out of two at the Division 2 and Division 4 doubles Championships in Killarney. Elaine Hudson and Saorcha Fitzgerald won the Division 2 Ladies title and were quickly followed by Francine Collins and Eleanor Sheehan who won the Division 4 Ladies title. Well done to all.

Juvenile Badminton:
There was a Juvenile Kerry Mixed Doubles Championships Tournament held in Aura Sport Complex, Killarney on Saturday, March 16th. Ciara Hudson was runner up in the Girl’s Under 13 competition. Well done to everyone who participated  in the competitions.The standard was very high.
The Kerry Badminton Juvenile Art competition was also held on the same day and not alone are our Juveniles good at Badminton, they are good at Art also. Girl’s Under 11 was won by Orla Shine with Brid Stack third. Girl’s Under thirteen was won by Ciara Hudson with Grainne Stack-Mulvihill in third place. Mairead Spaight won the Girl’s under fifteen. Well done to all who took part.

Murhur N.S. Moyvane:
Parents who wish to enrol children in Murhur N.S., Moyvane for the school year 2013 – 2014 may collect an Enrolment Application Form at the school from Monday, March 4th.

Scoil Chorp Chríost, Knockanure:

Art Competition:
Knockanure Community Centre is seeking the work of the area’s young artists as it prepares to hold an Easter Themed Art Competition in conjunction with its Annual Easter Party. The Party at the centre is on Sunday, March 31st from 4pm-6pm. Young Artists are asked to submit their work for consideration before Friday, 22nd March.  Arts Minister Jimmy Deenihan will judge the Competition at the Easter Party.  For more information contact 087 9866533.

Support for Families Bereaved by Suicide:
This is a support group for anyone who has lost loved ones to suicide, no matter how long ago. Meetings will be held on the last Monday of each month – parents, families and friends are welcome to drop in. The meetings will be held in the South-West Counselling Centre, Killarney (next door to Aras Phadraig), from 7pm to 8.30pm.
