Bingo:
It’s great to be able to report that last Thursday night’s bingo was one of the biggest crowds ever. Why not come along this Thursday night and see for yourself and perhaps you can spin the wheel and win €2,000. Starts at 8.30pm, in The Marian Hall.

Village Festival:
It’s village festival time again, with an action packed programme planned. Friday night, October 20th kicks off with street entertainment, weather permitting and for the fourth year running you can enjoy the Inter Pub talent competition. Saturday, Sunday & Monday various children and family activities are planned. You will find details on the posters locally. Saturday evening is the eighth Boro Buffet, the only gourmet evening in the year, as usual in the Marian Hall. You can get your ticket from any member of the committee. It will cost you  €25 and you need to book early as there is always huge demand for tickets. Sunday, the mini Trade/Craft Fair takes place after 11am Mass. Display space is FREE (and believe me there’s not much free nowadays) but you need to book right away. Call 068 49298 or 087 2733305. And of course there is the Vintage with exhibits from near and far. At 1pm there is a Youth Club walk followed by a dog show and Bonnie Baby competition so there is plenty of variety for everyone. Sunday evening, in the Marian Hall, you can enjoy an evening of entertainment with the Boro Players, local actors and actresses, threading the boards with a one act play called "A Burglary Will Take Place". This was last staged over 25 years ago in Siamsa Tire in Tralee so a trip down memory lane is not to be missed. You can also enjoy plenty of local talent on the night. Bank Holiday Monday kicks off the first hunt of the season with North Kerry Harriers followed by a Fancy Dress Parade for children. The weekend will close with the Rambling House. You can check posters in the shops for full programme of events with dates and times.
