Moyvane GAA:

Social: Moyvane GAA Club are holding a Social in Kirby’s The Lanterns Hotel on Friday, February 5th at 8pm.  Music by Terminal 2 followed by Disco with DJ Excel.

Membership: Club membership is now available for 2010. This year membership has to be submitted to Central Council before March 31st. Anyone who wishes to become a member of Moyvane GAA Club must give their name and membership fee to Club Officers before Friday, March 26th. The fees for 2010 are players €40, non-players and youth membership €20.

Lotto: There was no winner of this weeks jackpot of €3,000. Registration: Registration night for Coiste na nOg players will be held on Thursday, February 11th in the Senior Dressing Rooms, at 7:30pm.

Scór: The North Kerry Football Board Final of Senior Scór will be held in Asdee on Saturday, February 6th at 7:30pm.  Moyvane GAA will compete in 4 categories, Solo Singing, Group Singing, Quiz and Recitation.  Best of Luck to all involved.    

Set Dancing:
The West Limerick Set Dancing Club is holding a Ceili in Convent Hall, Abbeyfeale on Sunday, February 7th at 4pm. Music by Brian Boru Ceili Band. Teas served …everybody welcome.


Senior Badminton:
At the Kerry Badminton singles championships played in Tralee Sports Complex on Sunday,  Donie Enright won DivIsion 3 men’s singles. Bridget McCarthy was finalist in Division 5 Ladies Singles and Timmy Hanhahan was finalist in Division 5 Men’s Singles. Michelle Corridan and Eileen McCarthy reached the Semi Final in Division 5. Paul Kennelly won the Division 5 plate at the Singles Championships in Tralee on Sunday.

Knockanure GAA:
The AGM was held on Tuesday the January 26th. The Officers for 2010 are, President: Jackie Mc Mahon. Vice Presidents: Fr. Tom Mc Mahon, Fr. Brendan O’Callaghan, Fr John Lucid. Chairperson: Ger Greaney. Secretary: Grainne Mannix. Treasurer: Ann Woods. PRO: Denis Meehan. North Kerry Board Delegates:  Micheal Woods & Patsy Lane. County Board Delegate: Patsy Lane. Deaf: will hold an outreach service in Listowel at the Citizen Information Centre, 35 The Square on Friday February 12th, 2010 from 10am to 12.30pm. There will be information about coping with loss of hearing, difficulties using hearing aids & the latest equipment to assist you in your daily life. Free and Confidential Service.

Singing Classes:
Singing classes will begin at Sheehan’s Thatched House Finuge on Tuesday, February 2nd from 5pm to 6pm. Enrol on the night or ring Mary at 0876228766. All welcome.

Knockanure Active Retirement Day:

North & East Kerry Development Association:
North & East Kerry Development Association are running a new course for Women Parenting Alone, Women Living In Rural Areas and Women involved in farming. The aim of the course is to help women identify goals and develop skills to progress into further education, training or employment. The course will help to build confidence and enable women to access supports, to overcome any barriers and realise their full potential. The course will run on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am to 1pm in An Tochar, Causeway starting Tuesday, March 2nd.
