Bord na nOg:
Congratulations to our u14 team on winning the Division 3 North Kerry League in Coolard. The opposition was once again our near neighbours & rivals, Tarbert. The game was played in a very sporting manner with excellent football served up by both teams. Tarbert raced into an early lead of 2 points, but Moyvane soon found their rythem with a well taken goal by Kevin Fitmaurice. The Moyvane backs were now rampant and a brace of well-taken points soon followed. Tarbert were dealt a killer blow before half time with goals by James Flavin & Martin Sheehy. This gave us a lead of 9 points at the break. A goal by Timmy Noonan in the second half sealed Tarbert's fate and Moyvane ran out comfortable winners on a scoreline of 4-13 to 0-10.
Team: Brenden Galvin, Tadghie Finucane, Conor Leahy, Stephen O'Carroll, Paddy Greaney, Shane Stack, James Flavin, Martin Sheedy, Timmy Noonan, James Noonan, Ed Sweeney, Paul Kennelly, Kevin Fitzmaurice, Padraig Leahy, Con Mulivhill, Thomas Quinn, Ml Barry, Ryan Sheehan.
Moyvane GAA – Seniors:
Moyvane were well defeated by Brosna in the County League on Saturday night last. We were well below the level expected and now we find ourselves in a relegation struggle. While we were short a few regulars we still had a team strong enough to do better. Final score Brosna 2–11 Moyvane 1–7. Our next game in the County League is against Ballyduff.
