Moyvane Playground:
Moyvane Playground Committee are delighted to announce that Planning Permission has been granted and LEADER funding has been approved. The committee would like to invite everyone to an open public meeting on Monday, September 9th at 8.30pm in the Marian Hall, Moyvane. The Moyvane Playground will  be an excellent facility in the community. The committee would appreciate your attendance at this meeting. It is envisaged that the Playground will be completed by December.

Active Retirement:
The next social day for the Active Retired takes place on Monday, September 9th. Come and enjoy a hot meal followed by music and dance. €10 in. All Welcome. If attending please ring office on 068 49799. New members especially welcome.

Cake Sale:
On behalf of Knockanure Community Centre thank you to everybody who contributed to the recent cake sale at the Vintage Day in Knockanure.

Fitness Classes for Men:

Ballylongford/Tarbert CCE:
Enrolment for the new season of traditional music classes will take place on Thursday, September 12th from 7pm – 8pm in Ballylongford National School. It is important that all new pupils as well as those from the past year who wish to continue, should enrol on that night. Classes will resume for beginners and beginners of new instruments only on September 27th. All  other classes will begin on October 4th.

Adare to Survive with Cliona’s Foundation:
Adare to Survive is a 7.5km military style obstacle course taking place in Clonshire Equestrian Centre, Adare, Co Limerick on Sunday, September 29th.  Cliona’s Foundation which provides financial assistance to the families of critically ill children is the charity partner and participants are invited to Endeavour/Endure/Enjoy a unique physical and mental challenge, individually or part of a 4 person team, to raise funds for a charity or club of their choice.  Full details, including registration is on the event website

Knockfierna Heritage Society:
Knockfierna Heritage Society will hold their annual outing to Cahir Castle, The Swiss Cottage, Rock of Cashel, Holy Cross Abbey on Sunday, September 29th. These outings have proved to be most enjoyable occasions.  Mr. Philip Lynch of Kilkenny will be tour guide for the day.
