Moyvane Development Association:
The AGM of the Development Association was held recently. The following officers were elected:

  • Chairperson – Bobby Stack
  • Vice Chairperson – Noel Stack
  • Secretary – Seamus Roche
  • Assistant Secretary – Ursula Enright
  • Treasurers – Michael O’Sullivan & Tom Roche
  • PRO – Brenda Kennelly
  • Youth & School Liaison Officer – Gerard Mulvihill
  • Committee – Fr. John Lucid, Denny Flaherty, Jerry Walsh, Denis O’Connor, Marie Nolan, Esther Foley, Marie Stack.
Over the years the Association has contributed so much to the area with the development of the Village Walks. The walk through the Woods, the surround of the GAA pitch and the Lime Kiln have all enhanced the enjoyment of the beautiful countryside around us. Winning the "Open Gate Trophy" many times is proof of this. It is imperative that these areas are maintained for the enjoyment of everyone but recently it has been brought to the attention of the committee that dog fouling is becoming a problem. This has to be addressed, so with this in mind Poop Scoop bags will be available FREE of charge from this week on in the Post Office. Please use these as you could be liable to an on-the-spot fine of  €150 imposed by Kerry County Council if caught offending.
