Senior citizens outing on May 21. Bus leaves Moyvane from the Presbytery at 11.30am on to Knockanure 11.45, and on to Woodlands, Adare for dinner at 1.00 o’clock approx.

The parish of Moyvane/Knockanure will hold its pilgrimage on Sunday, May 28. Parish pilgrims will walk from Knockanure old church via Munhir to the Church of the Assumption, Moyvane. Everyone is welcome to take part in the Pilgrimage as this is one of the main days of the Jubilee year 2000.

Moyvane seniors defeated St. Patrick’s in the County league on Saturday night last. This win keeps Moyvane in a great position in the league table. Next Saturday, they take on Currow in the Millennium Cup in Moyvane at 8pm.

Moyvane juniors defeated Clounmacon in the Urban League last Friday night. Next Friday they play Duagh in Duagh at 8pm. All players are asked to be in good time for the game. On Tuesday night they play Ballyduff in Moyvane at 8pm in the North Kerry League.

U/12 Moyvane lost to Ballyduff in the County League on Sunday last. This Sunday night, they play Beale in Moyvane at 7pm. All players are asked to be in the dressing room at 6.45pm sharp.

U/14 Moyvane have a bye in the North Kerry League on Wednesday night.

Moyvane/Knockanure Community Games will hold their area athletic finals on Friday evening at 7.30pm in Brosnan’s Park, events for boys and girls U/8 to U/17. The first four in each event will qualify for the County finals in Tralee on June 24 and 25. The games will start at 7pm with a Fancy Dress Parade. The Fancy Dress and athletics are confined to the parish of Moyvane/Knockanure. Prizes will be given in both events. Parents please encourage your children to take part. Admission is £1.
