Ladies Football:
Moyvane u12 girls travelled to Killarney to play Dr. Crokes on Friday, May 17th. It was a very exiting game with the Moyvane girls coming from 5 points down to draw with  the local side. The final score was 3-3 to 2-6. The next game in the County League is against Abbeydorney this week at home . The u14s were away to Spa on Sunday and continue their good run with a another win and a fine display of football. .The u16s are playing Fossa in Fossa on Wednesday, May 22nd.

Defibrillator:
A public meeting will take place at the Community Centre Knockanure on Tuesday evening May 28th 2013 at 7pm. All are welcome. The committee is hoping to get more people to train into the CPR/CFR. It is very important that this facility is operational and available to our community in the event of an emergency.

Moyvane ICA:
The ICA recently sent a consignment of knitted items such as blankets, scarves, bootees, etc. to Chernobyl. These were knitted by ICA members and volunteers from neighbouring parishes. Thank you to all who supported this worthy cause.

Summer Camp:
The North Kerry Dyslexia/Dyspraxia Parent Support Group will host a summer camp at the Listowel Family Resource Centre from July 22nd to July 26th in association with the Sunflower Clinic. Further details available from www.sunflowerclinic.ie. Closing date for applications is Friday, May 31st.

Church Ministries:
Church Ministries: Ministry of Prayer will become an active Ministry in all parishes. At the moment there are two parishioners being trained into the Ministry. This Ministry will involve helping out the Priest at Funerals and Eucharistic Celebrations. If you would like to be involved, training will resume again in October, please give your name into the Presbytery to Fr. John Lucid P.P.

Death:
The death took place last week of Jerry McCarthy of Gurtdromosillihy. Jerry was a quiet man and a dedicated farmer. He is survived by his wife Bridie, daughters Leesha, Nolette & Breda sons Jeremiah, David & Kieran. His funeral took place to Ahavoher cemetery following Requiem Mass in The Church of the Assumption, Moyvane on Sunday morning. Sympathy is extended to his family.
