Moyvane ICA:

"Come and visit Santa" at the Family Fun Day in the Marian Hall, Moyvane on Sunday November 30th from 2pm – 4 pm. Also Bric–A–Brac sale, cake sale and games to play. There will be a draw for a Christmas Hamper among other prizes. Refreshments will be available.  A great day for young and old. 
Don’t forget the Shopping Trip to Cork on Wednesday December 3rd will leave village at 7am. Cost is €16, and money should be paid to Eileen Roche not later than Wednesday November 26th.

Knockanure GAA:

Knockanure GAA are holding a Race Night in Flynn’s Bar on Friday, November 21st. First race starts at 8.30 pm. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
A Jewellery Accessory Party will be held in the Community Centre on Wednesday 26th at 8pm. This is an ideal chance for you to buy your Christmas presents. A raffle will take place on the night and tea and coffee will be served. Admission is free. All are welcome.

The following deaths took place in the last couple weeks:
  • Michael Lucid of Castleisland, brother to our Parish Priest, Fr. John Lucid. 
  • Donal Riordan of Wicklow who died recently was a son of Kit Flavin of Aughrim.
  • We also lost one of our oldest citizens at the weekend. Maimie Kennelly, Kilbaha died at the ripe old age of 91. She was pre-deceased by her husband Jimmy and is survived by her family, Moira (Thurles), Ina (Athlone), Timmy, Martin, Christina (Adare), Seamus (Gorey) & Mike. Sympathy is extended to all relatives.
