Moyvane Notes – 21st January, 2007

GAA Notes – U-21:
Moyvane play Tarbert in the replay of the North Kerry Championship on Sunday next in Moyvane. We had chances to win the first game so lets hope the lads get through this time. The game is timed for 2.30pm.

A.G.M. :
The A.G.M. of the Moyvane G.A.A. club will be held on Friday night, 2nd February at 8pm. All members should attend.

Old Sayings:
There was this man one time, who used to give the impression to people that he was going out with girls, they were few, he would not marry at all, he would say he would prefer them dietless.

Estuary Athletic Club:
The A.G.M. of the athletic club will be held in The Marian Hall, Moyvane on Tuesday, January 30th at 8.30pm. All interested are asked to attend.

Deaths:
The death took place recently of Seán Culhane, Leitrim Middle, suddenly at his residence. He was 75 years of age. His remains were removed to Moyvane Church on Thursday last. He was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery following Requiem Mass on Friday. He is survived by his brothers Mossie & Paudie, sisters Maureen, Eileen & Rita, nephews, nieces, relatives & friends. 

The death took place recently of Mai McCarthy (nee Stack), St. Anne’s, Oakview, Tralee and late of Moyvane South. She was 83 years of age. Her remains were removed to St Brendan’s Church on Tuesday last. She was buried in Rath Cemetery following Requiem Mass on Wednesday. She is survived by her sons Dick & James, daughters Anne & Mary, brothers Tom & Dick, sisters Bridie & Sr. Dympna, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, relatives and friends.
