MOYVANE COMMUNITY PLAYGROUND:
Sunday was the official opening of the playground, the sun shone, the crowds cameand a great time was had by all. Parents brought their children, grandparents brought their grandchildren and if be was known those who had no children borrowed from their friends! This is the most important addition to the parish in a long time and shows what can be done with the power of positive thinking. Well done to the committee.
LADIES FOOTBALL:
The u12s again travelled to Kenmare on Tuesday last and won a thrilling match to reach the Final of Division 5 County League. The girls gave it their all and held on to win on a scoreline of 3-6 to 2-7. Best of luck to Catherine, Clodagh and the girls against Spa in the Final. The u16s will play Castlegregory this week in Division 4 County semi final. Don’t forget the clothes collection on Friday, July 25 at the Community Centre. Thank you for your support.
DEFIBRILLATOR:
An Open Meeting will be held in Knockanure Community Centre on Wednesday, July 23 rdat 8.30pm with local trainers, trainees and members of community centre in relation to the defibrillator. All trained personel are asked to attend. Thank you for your support.
FUN IN BALLYLONGFORD:
Starting on Friday, August 1st you can learn how to cook, sell anything you don’t need and dance to your hearts content. Cooking demonstraions and tastings will be held on Friday night in the Parish Hall starting at 9pm. Contact Maria at 087 9470605. Saturday, 9am to 1pm a Car Boot Sale will be held in the Church grounds. Contact 087 9176982. Ceili with Donie Nolan’s band will be held in the Parish Hall on Sunday night from 9pm ’til late.
RAMBLING HOUSE:
Listowel Rambling House will take place on Thursday, July 31st in the Seanchaí Centre, The Square from 9.15 pm. Admission free to this evening of traditional Irish music, song, dance & storytelling and all are welcome.
