Village Festival:
It’s that weekend this weekend, Friday, October 25th to Monday, October 28th brings the Village Festival. You have read about it in the papers and the posters, now come and see for yourself and enjoy a weekend of fun and camaraderie. Friday night: The Kilkennys. Saturday: The Boro Buffet. Then there is Sunday and Monday with lots of entertainment both day and evening, something for everyone.

Moyvane Badminton:
The Kerry AGM was held last week and the following Moyvane members were elected as officers:
- Vice President & Munster Delegate: Ollie Conyard
- Vice Chairperson: Michael Corridan
- PRO for Radio Kerry & Kerry’s Eye and General Purposes Committee: James Sheehan
- Juvenile Secretary: Carmel Hudson. Carmel takes over from Eileen Roche who retired having held that position for 22 years.
This is the biggest representation of any Club on the Co. Board. Best wises to all. The Moyvane club also agreed to organise the Annual Prizegiving Dinner Dance to be held on April 25th. On the home front Membership is now due. Contact Treasurers Carmel Hudson or Suzanne Keane re fees. A fun night for paid up members will be held on October 30th. The November handicap tournament will be held in Killarney on November 17th. The Division 3 & 4 ladies and mens leagues will begin shortly. Play is on Monday & Wednesday nights at 8pm. Training for Division 1-4 on Thursday nights. New members over 16yrs always welcome.
Ladies Football:
Congratulations to the five local u14 players who played with Feale Gaeils ( Listowel, Duagh, Moyvane) in the U15 District Championship Final v North Kerry District ( Finuge, St. Senans, Beale, Abbeydorney) on Friday night October 18th in Caharslee, Tralee. This was a cracking game, played in the driving rain and the girls played a big part to help win it out. Well done to Laura Stack, Margaret Mulvihill, Moira O’Flaherty, Rachel Moriarty and Muirne Wall. Thanks to the mentors Maura, Paula, Graham and Grainne. Last league match v Duagh is this Wednesday evening at home.
Juvenile Football:
Congratulations to the U14s who played Ballydonoghue in the Diviaion 2 Semi Final. The score was Moyvane/Tarbert 4-12 Ballydonoghue 1-11. This was a very good team performance, best of luck in Final v Bally/Asdee.
