Badminton:
Friday the 13th held no fear for the Division 3 Moyvane team which played Listowel in Castleisland. Because of changes to an open draw, it was the the first time that two North Kerry teams contested a League final. The tense, highly-competitive match began with Catriona Ambrose winning the Ladies singles; Donie Enright, playing up from Division 4 fought a good fight but was defeated in the Mens singles; Carmel Hudson & Jeanelle Griffin won the Ladies doubles; Brian Stack & Alan Kearney played a tough three-setter but it was not to be. Two all then going to the mixed. Down the years, Moyvane haven't had a great record in mixed but determination and hunger for the title saw Carmel Hudson & Brian Stack win the first and Catriona Ambrose & Mike Corridan played a dream match to take the second and the title. Also on the team was Nora Conyard, who didnt have to play the third mixed. On the panel and playing their part during the season in securing the title were Mary Lynch, Kevin Stack & Ollie Conyard. Congratulations to all of them and special congrats to their manager Olive Keane who had the difficult task of picking the teams for the various match's. They will represent club and county at the Munster club finals in UL on Sunday next. Best of luck.
On Sunday last Carmel Hudson & Mike Corridan were narrowly defeated in the Division 3 final. This Sunday, Donie Enright & Lisa Halpin (Listowel) were also defeated in the Division 4 final. Both finals were three setters. Congrats to all on their achievements in reaching the final.
The end-of-season fun tournament will be held on Wednesday night at 8pm sharp.

Faith as Worship:
They recognised him at the breaking of bread Luke 24:35
An area that perhaps has not been addressed in recent years is family prayer. It is in our homes that we first come to know God and to pray. We need to explore imaginative and creative ways of celebrating liturgy and praying. It is not surprising therefore, that a renewal of worship is at the core of parish renewal today.
