A committee meeting will be held next Tuesday night, March 1st at 9pm.

North Kerry Championship:
All roads will lead to Moyvane next Sunday where Tarbert & Listowel do battle again following their drawn game in Ballybunion two weeks ago. This game promises to be a cracker, a game not to be missed. Kick off is at 2.30pm and, in a curtain raiser, Moyvane will play Ballydonoghue in the North Kerry U21, 2010 Quarter Final. Start time here is 1pm. Extra time will be played in both games if necessary. This is an afternoon not to be missed. The pitch will be in perfect condition and with loads of parking in the area there will be no long walk.

Don’t forget you can now buy an annual subscription at a cost of €100, which gives you two free draws per year. Your support would be welcome and appreciated and it would be helpful if you could encourage your relatives abroad to support their local club by subscribing. Moyvane Minors: Moyvane’s County League game against Duagh was cancelled. They are at home to St. Senans in Round 2 of the County League Division 5a on Saturday, February 26th at 4pm.
Scór na bPáistí: The Tinteán Theatre, Ballybunion hosted this year’s North Kerry competitions last Sunday night and Moyvane were the most successful club, winning the overall award for the second year in a row, competing in seven out of the eight categories and winning four. Elaine Scarlett, Moyvane Scór Officer, accepted the trophy for the Best Overall Club of the year from Jack Hennessey, North Kerry Board Scór Officer. The Figure Dancing team was made up of Lewis Housden, Aidan Swan, Kieran Swan, Micheal Fogarty, Aoife Bowler, Ciara Hudson, Annie Coulson & Aobha Quinn. Shea Leahy won the Recitation. The winning Ballad Group was Lisa Stackpoole, Lisa Mulvihill, Laura Stack, Amiee Lindsell & Margaret Mulvihill and to top it all Donal Stack, Colin Enright, Dylan Quinn, Gavin Kennelly, Micheal Collins, David O’Carroll, Thomas Moore & Moira Flaherty won the Novelty Act. The other categories competed in were Solo Singing, Music Group & Quiz, where everyone did really well but you can’t win ’em all. Well done everybody, you are a credit to your families and Moyvane GAA Club. The County Semi Final will be held in Abbeydorney on Saturday, March 12th at 6pm.  

Coiste na nOg Registration: Registration for Moyvane Coiste na nÓg will be held in the Marion Hall, Moyvane on Sunday, March 6th at 12noon.  Registration for the coming year will cost €10 per child or €20 per family.  All children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to be registered. Due to regulations this year, this will be the only date for registration.  If a player is not registered they will not be covered to compete.  If you have any problems with attending, please contact Secretary Mairead O’ Sullivan 086-3689061 before March 6th. 

Club Membership: Just a reminder that club membership is available for the coming year, Players €40, Non-Players and Students €20. Membership can be obtained from committee members.

Scoil Chorp Chríost Parents Association, Knockanure:

A physiotherapy clinic will take place at Knockanure Community Centre weekly on Tuesday and Thursday. This Clinic is a branch of First Step Rehabilitation Centre in Patrickswell. Death:
The death has taken place of Emmet Leahy of Carrueragh and formerly of Mill Stream, Abbeyfeale. He is survived by his wife Margaret, sons Paddy, Willie & Jim, daughters Eileen & Assumpta, brother Ned, sisters Sr. Ita & Maura (Gallaghue), grandchildren and extended family. Removal was to Corpus Christi Church, Knockanure and burial was in Old Knockanure Cemetery. Sympathy is extended to all members of the Leahy family.
