North Kerry Together Ltd are organising (a) Job Search & Interview Skills Course and (b) An Idea Generation and Business Development Course for Micro Enterprises particularly for those interested in setting up their own business or becoming self employed.
The courses are targeted at unemployed people and will cost £10. The duration of each course is eight nights (24 hours). The courses will be held in Listowel in early February.

Moyvane/Knockanure Community Games: The following events will be held during the months of February, March, April – art, basketball, badminton, choir, draughts, indoor soccer, adult table quiz, U/14 table quiz, projects, set dancing U/14. Adult Quiz consists of panel of six, three U/17 and three over/17. Set dancing panel of all boys, all girls and mixed. Over 10 years and under 14 years.
The senior badminton club hosted their annual invitation tournament which was sponsored by Newtownsandes Co-Op in the Community Centre on Sunday last. Despite icy roads and raging flu over 80 players from all over Kerry took part in the day’s competitions. The Samaritans held their annual collection in Moyvane and Knockanure recently.
The death has occurred of Mary O’Sullivan (nee Fennell), Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry at the Tralee General Hospital. Her remains were removed to the Church of the Assumption, Moyvane on Monday last and burial in Murhur Graveyard. She is survived by her daughter, sister, grandson. The death has also occurred of Mary Hanrahan (nee Flavin) Kilkenny and Aughrim.
