Moyvane seniors defeated Renard in the relegation play-off on Sunday last in Beaufort. This was a tight game all through where neither side wanted to make mistakes. The sides were level at 0 – 5 points each at the break. The game was won and lost in the first 15 minutes of the second half. Renard scored the first point but then Moyvane settled down and kicked six unanswered points to open up a five point lead. The pressure seemed to get to our lads then as back came Renard and added two points to set up a grandstand finish. Moyvane held on to save their Division four status. Next Sunday, Moyvane play Finuge in the semi-final of the North Kerry championship in Ballylongford at 1.15 p.m. We wish them the very best of luck and lets hope they can come away with the right result.
