ICA:
The annual ICA outing will be held this year on Tuesday, July 7th with a visit to Bunratty Folk Park and a Medieval Banquet in Bunratty Castle. You will be wined and dined and entertained by the Bunratty Folk Singers. If you haven’t done this before, you don’t know what you’re missing. It’s different, it’s entertaining, it’s part of our heritage and, no, it’s not just for Americans! Admission to the Park and Banquet is €50. GAA:
Seniors: Moyvane Senior team had a very convincing win over Castleisland Desmonds in the North Kerry League on Sunday last. Moyvane were on top all through the game, leading at half time 2-7 to 1-1, with goals from Paddy Curtin and Cal Flynn. Playing against the wind in the second half Moyvane continued to dominate with some well taken points from Donal Leahy, Cal Flynn and James Flavin to finish on a final score line of Moyvane 2-12, Desmonds 1-4. This win ensures Moyvane will at least contest the semi-final with a possibility of leading Division 1 which would see them going straight into the final. Minors: Moyvane had two good wins in the County League on Monday and Friday last. First they overcame Duagh 4-9 to 2-9, and then defeated Finuge at home with a very impressive score line of 7-6 to 0-5. Goal scorers against Finuge were Johnny Greaney (5), Timmy Noonan (1) and Con Mulvihill (1). Moyvane’s next County League game is away to Tarbert on Saturday 28 at 4pm.
U21s: Moyvane are at home to Tarbert in the 2008 North Kerry Championship Quarter Final. This fixture is to be played this weekend 28th/29th March but has not been finalised, so check fixture posters in the village during the week.
Club Membership: Club membership is still available at €40 for players and €20 for non players. Membership fee can be paid to committee members.
Coiste na nOg: U16 training is Monday nights at 7:30pm. U14 training is Wednesday nights at 7pm. U12 training is Wednesday nights at 7pm. U14’s are away to Tarbert on Saturday 28th at 5:30pm.
Ladies GAA: Training for U12 is Sunday from 1pm to 2pm. Training for U14 is Wednesday at 5pm. Training for U16 is Wednesday at 5pm.

Afternoon Tea Dance:
You can step it out at Fr. Casey’s Clubhouse, Abbeyfeale for the first Afternoon Tea Dance of the year next Sunday, March 29th from 3pm to 6pm. This is a fundraiser in aid of your local community radio. Admission is €8 with dancing to The West Limerick 102 Radio roadshow. Raffle for a hamper sponsored by Abbeyfeale Farmers’ Market. Community Radio provides an excellent local service so take care of your own by supporting their fundraisers.

You can call the number and talk in complete confidence to someone who will listen and offer help and support.
Farm & Rural Stress Helpline:
1800 742 645 is a freephone helpline open from 6pm to 10pm daily and targeted specifically at farmers and people who live in rural areas. It is aimed at people who may be feeling down, suffering from stress or depression or those who are concerned about someone. The helpline is staffed by professionals who will offer support and advice in complete confidence. Those of us who live in rural areas know that many people live in isolation so please be aware of your neighbours.
Health professionals have been specially trained to work with families and people in a community who have been affected by suicide. This is a free service and is tailored to suit individual situations. The support team will meet with family members, friends, neighbours, co-workers or whoever who has been affected by the tragedy of a suicide. This meeting can take place in the family home, in the person’s place of work, a local community hall or wherever those in need of practical help and support feel is appropriate.
