Juvenile Badminton:
The Kerry Singles Championships were held in Listowel on Saturday last. A number of Moyvane players reached semi final stages and Liam Corridan U17 and Grainne Mulvihill U11 reached the finals. Well done everyone.
Moyvane/Knockanure Community Games:
Moyvane/Knockanure Community Games will hold a meeting in the Marian Hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday, November 29th. The committee needs new members, expecially parents of national school children. Community games caters for children from u8 to u16 in cultural and team events. If you feel you can help please attend the meeting.

Family Fun Day:
Family Fun Day is on Sunday, November 27th from 2pm-4pm in the Marian Hall. There will be the usual Jumble Sale, Cake Sale, Book Sale and again this year, the Mystery Box which was very popular last year. Games galore and lots of treats. Visit Santa and have a photograph taken with him. A fun-filled afternoon guaranteed.
Year of the Craft 2011:
2011 is year of the Craft. Moyvane ICA are exhibiting and selling their handmade luxurious cushions, candles, bags, scarves and many other items. These crafts are works of art made here in Moyvane by local Guild. They would make ideal Christmas presents. Crafts will be on sale at Family Fun Day. All proceeds will go to charity. Please come along and browse.
Shopping Trip:
The annual shopping trip is on Wednesday, November 30th. Bus leaves the village at 7am and will leave Cork on the return journey at 5.30pm. Cost is €16. Names and money to Eileen Roche at 49337 by Monday November 28th.
Senior Citizens:

A new initiative for older people living alone has just been launched. This is a FREE service in your community where integrated smoke alarms will be delivered and installed. Kerry Parents & Friends, Listowel are holding an exhibition in St. John’s Theatre, Listowel on Tuesday, November 29th at 6pm. "Undiscovered" is a collaboration of work in mixed media created by the talented persons of Kerry Parents & Friends, Listowel and prestigious artists: Lisa Fingleton, Maurice Hannon, Marie Brennan & Trish Healy. The exhibition will run until December 19th.
