CROPS
It has been an outstanding year for all berry-growing plants and trees. The apple crop seemed to be the best in many years and holly trees are coated abundantly with berries. For farmers, the crop of white thorn blossoms is an indicator of what type of summer weather was in store. It would appear that the reason for the outstanding year for all berry-growing plants and trees was due to the previous fine year.
