Moyvane Village Festival:
Just to remind you that the annual Village Festival kicks off this Friday with the official opening taking place at 8pm followed by live music on an outdoor stage and the Drag Queen Races.
On Saturday morning October 27th in the Community Centre starting at 11am there will be a mixed Indoor 8-a-Side Soccer Blitz: 2 Groups-1st-3rd Class and 4th-6th Class. Each team will include 2 Girls. Boro Buffet number 9 is on Saturday night in The Marian Hall. As usual tickets are at a premium so if you haven’t already booked you need to get a move on.
Sunday is Vintage day and Small Business Trade & Craft Fair day at the Community Centre and don’t forget the treasure hunt through our beautiful woodland walk starting at the Church Car park where the Dog Show will also be held. At 3.30pm the Bonny Baby and Glamorous Gran Competitions will also be held in the Community Centre. On Sunday evening in the Marian Hall an evening of entertainment with local singers, musicians, dancers and storytellers will take place with the Boro Players presenting “Dopey Dan”.
Bank Holiday Monday kicks off the first hunt of the season by The North Kerry Harriers. A Children’s Halloween Party and Fancy Dress follows at The Marian Hall starting at 1pm. A charity match between North Kerry and West Limerick over 35’s is taking place in Con Brosnan Park at 3pm. The Moyvane Ladies football team will play a North Kerry selection as a curtain raiser at 2.30pm. All proceeds collected at the gate will be donated to Crumlin Childrens Hospital. The weekend festivities will wind down with the Rambling House at Mairead Kearney’s Bar starting at 7pm.
ECDL COURSES:

U14 – Moyvane beat Ballyduff away last Sunday in the quarter final of the Division 2 Championship with a great team effort over the first half in building up a large lead against the wind, the second half performance maintained the lead . Score: Moyvane 5-09, Ballyduff 2-08. Semi-Final, Moyvane will meet Bally/Asdee in Tarbert on November 4th at 12 midday .
Moyvane GAA:
Senior County League Round 11: Moyvane lost out at home to Na Gaeil 1-10 to 3-14 in the last round of the County League Division 4 on Sunday last. Moyvane Scorers: Owen Stack 1-2, Paddy Curtin 0-4, Kevin Kennelly 0-3 and Bryan Stack 0-1. Although Moyvane lost out in this game they got enough results in previous rounds to secure their position in Division 4 for the coming year. Congratulations to the team and Management.
Club Lotto: There was no winner of this week’s Lotto of €9,300. Numbers drawn were 9, 23, 26 and 31.
