MOYVANE National school has won a highly commended new category prize in the ESB schools environmental project. They were prize-winners in that competition in 2002 also.
The marriage took place last Saturday last of Margaret Meade, Aughrim and Eric Quinlan, Listowel, at the Church of the Assumption, Moyvane. The reception was held in the Devon Inn, Templeglantine.
Moyvane juniors had a good win over Na Gaeil in the Urban league last Friday on a score of 5-7 to 4-6. This was a very enjoyable game with both sides scoring freely. Next Friday they play Ballylongford in Ballylongford at 8pm. Then on Saturday they play Asdee in the North Kerry league in Clounmacon at 7.30pm.
