Moyvane GAA – Seniors:
Moyvane lost to Clan na Gael 6 points to 5 in Knockaderry last Sunday.

Membership is now open – €30 for players and €10 for non-players.

GAA Lotto:
Congratulations to Nora Walsh, Leitrim East on winning the blotto jackpot of €11800.

Coiste na nOg:
Coiste na nOg AGM takes place next Monday night, 5th March, at 8.30pm in the Marian Hall. Parents wishing to get involved are more than welcome.

West Limerick Set Dancing:
Workshop weekend at the Rathkeale House Hotel on March 2nd; Fri. 2nd – Taylors Cross at 9pm; Sat 3rd – Michael Sexton & Pat Walsh 2pm to 5pm; Sat. 3rd – Johnny Reidy 9.30pm; Sun. 4th – Glenside 2.30pm. Special attraction on Sat. March 3rd in Hotel Bar is the Bodhran Competition. All competitors welcome. Bring your own Bodhran.

Juvenile Badminton:
Congratulations to Padraig Keane on winning the U16 tournament played in Tralee last week.

Moyvane/Knockanure Youth Club:
Reminder to members of the Youth Club that Basketball competitions take place in Ballybunion on Friday 2nd March. Bus leaves the Community Centre at 7pm. Cost is €10.

Gorta Collection:
Many thanks to all who supported the recent Gorta Church Gate Collection. The proceeds amounted to €656.

The death took place recently of Cornelius (Connie) Shanahan, Croxley Green, London and late of Moyvane Village. He was 95 years of age. He used come on regular visits to Moyvane over the years. Burial will take place in Carpenter’s Park Cemetery London on Wednesday February 28th. He is survived by his son, daughter, relatives and friends. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.
