Blotto:
There was no winner of the €6,500 Blotto Jackpot last Thursday night. The numbers drawn were 1   13   17   29. Senior Badminton:

On Friday night the Division 5 mixed team travelled to  Killarney and defeated the home team 5-2. The team was Olive Keane, Eileen McCarthy, Michelle Corridan, Paul Kennelly, Timmy Hanrahan and Oliver Carmody.
Munser Graduates was played in Killarney on Sunday. Marguerite Lynch won the Ladies Doubles Plate.

Juvenile Badminton:

At the boys and girls doubles Championships played in Tralee on Saturday, Moyvane results were Under 12 Girls finalist Tina Gormley and partner Rachel O’Connor Dingle. Under 14 winners were Erin Finnucane and partner Louise O’Donoghue Killarney. Under 12 Boys winner was James Flaherty playing with Jonathan Keane Kingdom (Castleisland). The Under 16 Boys final was an all-Moyvane affair with Timmy Noonan and Kieran Flavin defeating Con Mulvihill and Aidan Kennelly in a very close three set match.
The girls Kerry Schools competition was played in Presentation, Tralee on Tuesday last and Moyvane’s Elaine Hudson was on the winning U19 team from Presentation, Listowel. Elaine will now play with her team in the Munster finals to be played in UL. on February 4.

Moyvane ICA:
The ICA are looking forward to a very active 2010. Their first meeting of the New Year will be held in The Marian Hall on Tuesday, February 2 at 8pm.
 

Moyvane GAA
Social: Moyvane GAA Club are holding a Social in Kirby’s The Lanterns Hotel on Friday, February 5 at 8:00pm.  Music by Terminal 2 followed by Disco with DJ Excel.  The tickets cost €30.00 and are available from committee members or by contacting Micheal Walsh on 087-9817883.  Tickets are limited so please book early.

Membership: Club membership is now available for 2010.  This year membership has to be submitted to Central Council before March 31st.  Anyone who wishes to become a member of Moyvane GAA Club must give their name and membership fee to Club Officers before Friday, March 26th 2010.  The fees for 2010 are Players €40, Non-players and Youth Membership €20.

Lotto: There was no winner of this week’s Jackpot of €2,800.  Numbers drawn were 11  18   21   22.  Lucky Dips €40.00 each: Gerard Donegan, Mike Thompson, Lixnaw c/o Enright’s Bar, Eileen Cronin, Moyvane, Aishling Fitzmaurice, Leitrim Middle, Moyvane, John Heffernan, Woodgrove, Moyvane.  Next weeks Jackpot is €3,000 and the draw will be held in Enright’s Bar.

Coiste na nOg AGM: The AGM was held in the Marian Hall on Friday last.  Officers remain the same for the coming year, Chairman – Paddy Leahy, Secretary – Mairead O’ Sullivan, Treasurer – Ger Greaney, PRO – Aine Cronin.  Team Trainers for the coming year are: U8/U10 – Myles Quinn, Mike Quinn, Mike Mulvihill, Eddie O’ Gorman and Gregory Quinn. U12 – Kieran Stack and Neilus Mulvihill. If ianyone is interested in becoming an U12 trainer please contact any of the committee. U14 – Billy Lynch – Manager, Tom Kelly – Trainer, Willie Leahy and Mike Kissane – Selectors. U16 – Joe O’ Keefe – Manager, Johnny Stack, Mike O’ Connor and Ger Greaney.

Registration: Registration Night for Coiste na nOg players will be held on Thursday, February 11th in the Senior Dressing Rooms, at 7:30pm.


Knockanure GAA:

Irish Wheelchair Association:

The Listowel branch would like to thank all who contributed to their annual church gate collection. The amount collected was €792. All proceeds go to Listowel Day Care Centre, Ballygologue Road.

Knockanure Community Centre:

A sponsored walk for the upkeep of the centre will be held on Sunday, February 21st at 2pm. Sponsorship cards and details available from the centre 49799/49250 or any member of the committee. A donation will also be made to the Irish Guide Dogs for the Disabled. Aerobic classes will begin in the centre starting Monday, February 1st at 7.30pm. Contact the above numbers for information. Dancing with Tara Finucane will re-commence on Thursday, January 28th from 6 to 7pm. Drama classes with Cathy Finucane re-commence on Friday, January 29th from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
