Adult set dancing class with Timmy Woulfe continue on Wednesday nights, beginners at 8pm.
Work continues on the old school in Knockanure, built in 1874 which is now ready for re-roofing and will be roofed with old quarry slate. Its a great credit to a small but dedicated committee which has been busy fund-raising over a number of years.
The death took place of Sr. Lydie (Sarah Kearney) of the Little Sisters of the Poor in Raheny, Dublin. Mass for Sister Lydie takes place this Wednesday.
Large crowds of people are expected to attend our annual fund-raising festival which will be held this weekend.
The village festival opens on Friday night with Patsy Watchorn and friends, former lead singer with the Dublin City Ramblers. On Saturday there will be a Murt Kelliher band. On Sunday at 2pm there will be the Vintage with Threshing and at 8.30pm a concert with “Marltleen” and local talent. On Monday at 12 noon, the County Kerry Hunt takes place at 5pm at the Rambling House and at 8pm a junior disco in the Marion Hall.
