Moyvane GAA – Race Night:
Moyvane GAA would like to thank everyone who supported their recent fundraising video racenight which was held in Brosnans Bar. Thanks to all who sponsored advertisments, bought horses and contributed to the auction race. A huge thanks to Tom Moore who was an excellent MC on the night. The Sam Maguire Cup was in attendance at the event and a great night was had by all.
Ladies GAA:
Mairead O Sullivan, Chairperson of Moyvane Ladies GAA, would like to congratulate the U14 girls team on winning the North Kerry Plate Final, beating Finuge/St. Senans by 5 points recently in Clounmacon and to thank the people of Moyvane and Tarbert for their support. Also thanks to the players, trainers, committee, supporters and to bus driver John Flaherty. Moyvane had a great first year reaching 3 finals and winning 1. The club are looking forward to next years competitions. Hoping to see everyone involved again next year.
No Name Club:
The Shannonside No Name Club held a very successful Junior Cert Results Disco in Kirbys Lanterns Hotel last week. We would like to thank all the young people who attended and also the Lanterns for the great venue.
The club are recruiting now for the coming year: membership is open to Transition year, 5th year and Leaving Certificate students in the second level schools in the area. Club introduction day on Sat Oct 6th from 2pm to 6pm at the Community Centre Tarbert. Application forms are available from: Comprehensive School, Tarbert; Mary Normile, Glin; Maura McDermott- Tarbert; Ciara McMahon, Athea & Sean Jones, Moyvane.
Wedding:
The wedding took place in The Church of the Assumption, Moyvane of Ciara Moloney to Daniel O Connell on Friday September 21st. The reception was held after in The Brandon Hotel, Tralee. The couple will reside in England.

Dancing Classes:
Timmy Woulfe's dancing classes will recommence on Wednesday, 26th September at 6pm. All children attending dancing classes must join Comhaltas.
Adults Set Dancing:
Adults Set Dancing starts on Monday 1st October at 8pm for beginners and 8.30pm for all other dancers.
Senior Badminton:
Badminton will take place on Monday and Wednesday nights at 8pm from Monday, Sept. 24th.
Prayer Meeting:
Full Gospel will hold an open prayer meeting at Killarney Heights Hotel on Friday night, September 28th at 8.30pm. Main speaker: Lexie Johnson. All are welcome, contact 064 35629.
Night Classes:
Enrolment for night classes will take place in Listowel Community College on Monday 24th & Tuesday 25th September from 10am until 3pm and from 7.30pm to 9pm.
UCC Diploma in Community Development:
Places are still available in U.C.C Diploma in Community Development (night course) and also in the P.L.C. Community Care/Pre-Nursing courses (day).
Return to Work – Food & Wine Service Course:
Fáilte Ireland, in association with North Kerry Together Ltd. Jobs Club, are proposing to run a 'Return to Work Food and Wine' service course in Listowel, starting in October. For further details please contact Michael or Tina at 068 24981.
