Moyvane Notes – 26th January, 2002

THE AGM of the Senior Citizens Committee will be held in the Marian Hall on next Monday, January 29, at 8 p.m. All members are asked to attend and new members welcome.

Scor: Tara Mulvihill will be representing her Parish and County in the Munster Finals, which will take place in the Gleneagle Hotel this Sunday at 2.30 p.m. Tara will be competing in the Solo Singing section.

The AGM of the Moyvane Development Association will take place in the Marian Hall on this Friday night, January 25, at 9 p.m.

The death has occurred of Edward M. O’Flaherty, Tubbertureen. His remains were removed to Moyvane Church on Sunday last. He was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery following Requiem Mass on Monday last. He is survived by his wife, son, daughter, brothers, sister, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

The death has also occurred of John Stack, Ballybane, Co. Galway and late of Moyvane South. Interment took place in Ballybane, Co. Galway.

The death has occurred of Bridget O’Connor, Clounprohus. Her remains were removed to Listowel Church on Monday last. She was buried in Murhur Cemetery, following Requiem Mass on Tuesday last. She is survived by her son, daughters, relatives and friends.

The death has also occurred of Michael (Mickie) Frurery, Glenagraga, Glin, following a road accident. He was brother of Mrs Joan Moloney, Lower Main Street, Moyvane.

Blotto: There was no winner of last Thursday night’s Jackpot of €5,200. The winning numbers were 6, 12, 14, 28. Bingo, one of our regular customers May Quirke, Kilmorna has won the Golden Line worth €925.

Tickets are on sale for our GAA Club draw and are going very well. We are again asking for your support. We have some great prizes on offer so book your tickets early.
