Moyvane Notes – 26th July, 2003

Parish Priest Fr Michael Fleming said farewell to parishioners at Masses during the weekend. Fr Fleming was very well liked. He carried out his parish duties very well, and was great to visit the sick in hospital and in their homes. A presentation was made to him in the Marian Hall on Tuesday and we wished him well. The parish wishes him well as parish priest of Killorglin and welcomes our new Parish Priest Fr John Lucid a native of Castleisland. He comes to the parish of Moyvane from Caherdaniel.

Tara Finucane, Knockanure was a member of the U-10 juvenile championship relay team which came first in the All Ireland final in Tullamore recently. Tara will be representing her county in the national finals of the community games which will be held in Mosney on August 23.
