This system will be installed in both Moyvane and Knockanure. This project is costing E10,000 approximately. All of which is being raised by the senior citizens committee. Private donations from individuals, businesses and local organisations would be very much appreciated.

Moyvane seniors played an exciting draw with Beale on Sunday last in the North Kerry championship game in Finuge. Weather conditions were very bad but the pitch held up very well. Beale had first use of the wind and led at half-time by 0-4 to 0-2. On the resumption Beale stretched the lead and with about ten minutes to go led by three points 0-6 to 0-3. It was then that Moyvane showed the true spirit and got through for vital scores. Beale snatched a point in injury time that looked good enough for the win but just when it seemed to be lost Eddie Bowler got possession out on the right wing and sent over a great point for the equaliser. The final whistle sounded straight after so both sides have to do it all over again. Players and supporters will be notified of the details of replay. Final score in the game was 0-8 each.

Juniors – the replay of the intermediate championship game with Asdee will be clarified in next week’s notes.
