Now that the long nights are here you could enjoy a night’s entertainment at Bingo in the Marian Hall. The prize money is good, there is €4,075 there to be won EVERY Thursday night. Bingo starts at 8.30pm.

Seniors:
In the North Kerry Senior Championship, Moyvane and Ballydonoghue could not be separated in Ballylongford on Sunday last. At full time the score was Moyvane 2-7 to Ballydonoghue 1-10. After extra time the teams were still level 2-13 to 2-13.  Both teams deserve credit for a most exciting game which was played in true Championship style. U16 North Kerry Championship: Moyvane progressed to the next round with a 4-8 to 1-5 win over Finuge on Saturday last.
Scór na nOg:  Anyone under 17 years interested in participating in the Scór na nÓg North Kerry Football Board Final on Saturday, November 6th please contact Moyvane GAA Scór Officer Elaine Scarlett on 087-2884869 as soon as possible.  The categories are: Figure Dancing, Solo Singing, Instrumental Music, Recitation, Ballad Group, Novelty Act, Question Time and Set Dancing.

Craft Fair:
Kirby’s Lanterns Hotel, Tarbert are holding a Craft Fair on Sunday, December 5th, 2010. Exhibitors interested in taking part can contact Marie or Fergal on 068 36210 or 087 6842070.  All proceeds will go to the 3T’s Organisation, Turning the Tide on Suicide.

Shannonside No Name Club:
Shannonside No Name Club will hold their annual Moyvane / Knockanure church gate collection on the weekend of October 30th/31st. Your support would be greatly appreciated. The club provides an alternative to the drink/drug culture for young teens.

Organic Gardening Class:
Contact Eveleen at Co. Limerick VEC Guidance Service on 069 62667 for details of a 30 hour gardening class being run in the Newcastlewest area  in the late Autumn and early Spring. There is no requirement for people to be in receipt of a job seekers allowance to participate, just an interest in learning how to grow vegetables organically.

Car Boot Sale:
The monthly Car Boot Sale and Indoor Market in aid of WL102fm takes place on Sunday, October 31st from 9am-2pm at the Community Centre N.C.W. Gates open at 7.30am. Further information from 087 6866450.

Moyvane/Knockanure Comhaltas:
Anyone interested in taking part in Ceol an Geimhridh Competitions in Tralee on the weekend of Saturday, November 13th and Sunday, November 14th should contact Bridget McCarthy at 068 49489 after 6pm. Entries no later than Wednesday, October 27th. There are two categories only, Under 13 and 13-17 years.The AGM  takes place on Saturday, October 30th in the Marian Hall at 8.30pm. All are welcome.

ICA:
Celebration:  A County Celebration night out in Ballygarry Hotel, Tralee  on Sunday, December 12th. All are welcome especially former members. For more details, contact any ICA member.
Christmas Shopping: The Christmas shopping trip to Cork is on Wednesday, December 1st. Book with Eileen Roche at 068 49337. 

Line Dancing:
Line Dancing continues every Tuesday night in the Marian Hall, Moyvane at 8.30pm.

Kerry & District Mental Health:
Kerry & District Mental Health Association would sincerely like to thank all those who contributed to their recent collections in both Moyvane and Knockanure.

Knockanure Community Centre:
Defibrillator: The Community Centre has now acquired a Defibrillator. The committee is requesting volunteers to train in the use of this life saving equipment. If you are interested please contact Mary at the centre on 49799 between 9.30am-1pm Monday to Friday.
Aerobics: Aerobics & Body Conditioning Classes at Knockanure Community Centre, continue on Wednesday, November 3rd from 8pm-9pm. Exercise to music, build your fitness and tone key areas at the same time. Fun and fitness for all levels. Contact Maggie 087 9866533.
Halloween Party: A Halloween party will be held at Knockanure Community Centre on Saturday, October 30th at 7pm. with “Magic Moonshine” the Magician. €5 per child (includes a party bag) reduction for additional children. All enquiries to Mary 068 49799.
