Deaths:
The parish was rocked last week by two deaths in the townland of Kilbaha, one after a brief illness and the other rather suddenly.
Sean Nelligan, a native of Abbeyfeale, passed away on Saturday, August 18th in Kerry General Hospital at the age of 65. A teacher in Abbeyfeale for 42 years, Sean retired in 2011 and became a full time farmer until the time of the onset of his illness at the end of April. His funeral was one of the biggest seen in Moyvane for quite some time. Sean is survived by his wife of 37 years Stacia Hanrahan, his daughters Brid (Paris), Miriam (Athea) and son Gearoid (London), grandchildren, sister and brothers.
The death of John Hudson, aged 59, was quite unexpected. His funeral took place on Monday, August 20 with funeral Mass on Tuesday in the Church of the Assumption, Moyvane. He is survived by Olivia, his son Jack, sisters and brothers.
Both burials were in Ahavoher Cemetery. Sincere sympathy is extended to both families. May they rest in peace.
