Senior Results:
. Moyvane had a good win away to Ballylongford in Round 5 of the North Kerry League on Monday, March 19th on a score of Moyvane 1-10, Ballylongford 0-10.  Moyvane scorers: Ian McCarthy 1-0, Timmy Noonan 0-3, Donal Leahy 0-2, Aidan Keane 0-2, Cathal O’Connor 0-1, James Flavin 0-1 and John Jack Mulvihill 0-1. Things did not go according to plan in the Division 4 County League game away to Churchill on Saturday. The final score was Moyvane 0-6, Churchill 0-13. Moyvane scorers: Bryan Stack 0-2, Ian McCarthy 0-1, Timmy Noonan 0-1, John Jack Mulvihill 0-1 and Kevin Kennelly 0-1.
Fixtures:  Moyvane seniors are home to Asdee in Round 4 (back game) of the North Kerry League on Wednesday, March 28th at 6:30pm. Moyvane are away to Scartaglin in Round 1 of the Novice Club Championship on Saturday, March 31st at 3:30pm.
Club Lotto:  There was no winner of this weeks Jackpot of €6,300.  Numbers drawn were 10, 11, 21 and 26.  Lucky Dips of €40.00 each: Elma and Maureen c/o P. Kerry Seniors: Congratulations to Paddy Curtin who gave a great performance, scoring four points in Kerry’s National Football League win over Laois at the weekend
Scór na bPáistí: Congratulations to the Moyvane Ballad Group who were runners up in the County Final of Scór na bPaistí held in Ballybunion on Sunday last. The girls gave a brilliant performance of their two songs Eamon a’ Chnoic and Home away from Home.  Well done to Amiee Lindsell, Margaret Mulvihill, Lisa Mulvihill, Laura Stack and Lisa Stackpoole. You did Moyvane proud girls!
Cuman na mBunscoil: Well done to the mini 7’s girls team of Moyvane Murhur NS who took part in the County Final of Cuman na mBunscoil which was played on Friday, March 23rd in Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney. Once again the girls played their hearts out, winning against Cloghane NS and narrowly losing out to Castleisland Presentation and Ballinskelligs NS. A great day was had by all and thanks again to trainers Mrs. Quill and Mrs. Curtin. Moyvane u16s girls were successful in their game against Beale on Wednesday last, their first outing this year and well done also to the u12 girls who overcame Lispole in Lispole on Sunday last to add to their win over Beale the previous week. Duagh was the only team to defeat them so far. A busy season ahead for all, keep up the good work and thanks to all the trainers and parents.

Senior Badminton:

 The Division 3 team defeated Killarney 6-1 at home on Thursday last. The team was Saorcha Fitzgerald, Jeanelle Griffin, Carmel Hudson, Timmy Noonan, James Sheehan, and Dermot Keane. Congratulations to Elaine Hudson and Dermot Keane who played on the UCC team which won the Inter Varsities in Galway two weeks ago.

Badminton Community Games:
Moyvane Knockanure community games would like to wish the best of luck to the u15 mixed badminton team who will represent Kerry in the Munster finals in UL limerick on Saturday March 31st. The team is Erin Finucane ,Laura Stack,Tina Gormley, Moira O’Flaherty, Emer Galvin, Liam Greaney, James Fitzgerald, James Flaherty, Micheal Collins and Brendan Stack. Coaches: Denise Collins and Diarmuid Keane. Sign in time is 10.30am, Saturday morning.

Ballylongford/Tarbert CCE:
Waltzing and set dancing competition with John Stack on April 1st at 2pm in the GAA hall, Ballylongford. Great afternoon’s entertainment and all are welcome.

Kerry Dancers:
Kerry dancers céilí will now be held at the Listowel Arms Hotel on Saturday, March 31st at 9.30pm. Music by Deenagh Céilí Band.

Easter Party Time:
Easter party time at Knockanure Community Centre and third annual 5km Sponsored Walk on Sunday, April 1st 2012 (don’t be fooled). Assemble at 1.30pm. Registration on the day €10. Refreshments on return and monster Raffle. Activities for the kids will include a fun quiz, Face Painting, Disco with DJ Shicco and Easter Egg Galore for all kids. Admission €3 per child…..family concessions. Please support this great fun packed day…you wont be disappointed. Donation will be going to Listowel Hospice.


Active Retirement Day:

Active Retirement day at Knockanure Community Centre. The next Social Day for the Active Retired takes place on Monday, April 2nd. Come and enjoy a great meal followed by music and dance.
