The death took place of Nora Galvin, nee Flaherty, Barragougeen, Moyvane and late of Lower Aughrim. She was 69 years of age. She was removed to Moyvane Church on Thursday last and buried in Abhvaria cemetery. She is survived by her sons, daughters, brothers and sisters, grandchildren and friends.
The play everyone is talking about, “Bawdy and Soul”, performed by an outstanding group, will be staged in The Marian Hall, Moyvane on Friday, October 3 at 8pm. Admission €10.

Comhaltas: Sharon Buckley’s traditional singing classes are resuming in the Marian Hall this Friday at 6pm. Set dancing resumes on Wednesday, October 1 from 11 years upwards and on Monday, October 6 for the under 11’s.
Moyvane GAA held a very successful race night in Brosnan’s Bar on Thursday. The auction race was again the highlight of the night. Martin Sheehy was M.C.
Moyvane Seniors play Tarbert in Clounmacon this Saturday in the county league. This is a vital game to survive in Division 4. The game is timed for 5.30pm.
Moyvane under 14 lost to Duagh in the semi-final of the North Kerry championship on Sunday last.
This was a very good game and it was in the last ten minutes that the stronger Duagh lads pulled away to win by four points.
Moyvane under 12 play Ballylongford/Asdee in Knockanure on Sunday, October 5.
