It has been learned during the past week that over 60 new houses are to be constucted at Upper Main Street Moyvane. Their has been over 40 new houses already built at lower main street Moyvane. There are 10 houses presently under construction at the Glin Road and a further 2 houses built at Lower Main Street. There also has been planning permission sought for a number of houses around the villlage
Moyvane ICA : On our Annual Outing this year we will visit Tipperary on Friday 1st July. Hot lunch and evening tea included. Cost €45. Payment on booking with Eileen Roche or Marie Walsh as soon as possible.
Church Gate Collection : The Annual Senior Citizens Church Gate Collection will be held next weekend July 2nd and July 3rd.
Comhaltas : The Moyvane / Knockanure C.C.E. wish the best of luck to everybody taking part in the County Fleadh Cheoil in Milltown on next weekend July 2nd and 3rd.
Moyvane Development and Tidy Towns Association : A committee meeting will take place on Monday next July 4th at 9pm in the Marian Hall. We wish to thank everyone who helped with the recent village clean up, also to those who did the painting, weeding, doing the flower baskets etc, The regular village clean up and hardworking scheme members have certainly made Moyvane a brighter and better place this summer.
The Moyvane Charity Walk takes place on tuesday 26th July in aid of the local St. Vincent De Paul and Abaile Respite (which caters for Nano Nagle children and their parents). Sponsorship cards available from Jill McCarthy, Sports Officer.
GAA NOTES SENIORS Moyvane defeated St. Senans in the County league on Sat. night last. This was a vital win for our lads as it gives us the confidence to push on and get more points on the table. Our game with Cromane is fixed for Sat. night 9th July in Moyvane at 8pm. Lets hope we can keep the momentum going.
JUNIORS Moyvane defeated Ballyheigue in the Urban league on Fri. night last. That was our final game and it looks like we are not going to reach the playoff. Our next football will be in a few weeks in the Barrett Cup.
MINORS Moyvane start their North Kerry league programme with a game against Ballylongford/Asdee in Moyvane on Thurs. night at 8pm.
STAND Roofing of the stand should be going ahead within the next week so again we ask people to be careful around the stand and please obey the warning signs.
UNDER 12 Moyvane have played all their games and have a bye in the final round. More details next week

UNDER 16 Moyvane play Beale in Ballybunion on Mon. in the County league. Bus will leave the village at 7 15pm.

Death : The death took place recently of Mary Wallace (nee Mulvihill) Tullyleague Glin and late of upper Aughrim Moyvane. She was 90 years of age. Her remains were removed to Glin Parish Church on Monday last. She was buried in Kilfergus Cemetery following requiem Mass on tuesday last. She is survived by her family, relatives and friends. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.
