Moyvane seniors were victorious away to Valentia in Round 10 of the County League on Saturday last winning by 1 point on a final score of Moyvane 2-7, Valentia 2-6.  Moyvane scorers: Kevin Kennelly 1-1, Bryan Stack 0-3, Donal Leahy 1-0 Cal O’ Flynn 0-1 Aidan Keane 0-1 Owen Stack 0-1.

Fixtures: Moyvane B will play Clounmacon in the Intermediate North Kerry Championship Final on Saturday, October 3rd at 4pm.

Race Night: Moyvane GAA would like to thank everyone who supported their recent fundraising video race night which was held in Brosnan’s Bar.  Thanks to all who sponsored advertisements, bought horses and contributed to the auction race.  A huge thanks to Liam Purtill who was an excellent MC on the night.  A great night was had by all.

Murhur National School Parents Council Collection:

The Parents Council of Murhur National School will hold their Annual Church Gate Collection this Saturday October 3rd and Sunday October 4th at all Masses. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Moyvane/Knockanure Community Games:

The AGM of the Moyvane/Knockanure Community Games committee will be held in The Marian Hall on Tuesday, October 6th at 9pm. All committee members are asked to attend. The year was a successful one with medals won at county level in a variety of activities and a bronze medal in cycling at national level. Parent support would be greatly appreciated.

Knockanure Community Centre:

  • Afternoon Dance this Sunday, October 4th, 2.30 to 5.30 with music by Stevie Donegan.
  • Knockanure Fun Club modern dance classes every Monday 7pm to 8pm. Only €7 per person per class. Learn all the latest dances with Madeline Mulqueen. West Limerick Set Dancing Club
The  West Limerick Set Dancing Club Set Dance céilí will take place on Sunday October 4th at the Convent Hall Abbeyfeale at 4pm. Music by the ever-popular Davey Family Ceili Band. Teas served….All welcome.
Ballydonoghue Bereavement Support Group:
A meeting will be held next Tuesday, October 7th in Ballyloughran Leisure Centre from 7pm to 9pm. The group is for anyone touched by bereavement and is totally confidential. For information contact 068 23429.
