Congratulations to Claire O’Driscoll and Padraig Shanahan who were married by Fr Pat O Donovan at St. Agatha’s Church, Glenflesk on Friday, July 11th. Best man was Tom Shanahan and groomsmen were James Shanahan and Aidan Stack. Bridesmaids, Joan and Catherine O’Driscoll and Marie Taylor. Cloe O’Driscoll was Flowergirl and Oisin Stack was Pageboy. The bride is daughter of Patrick and Eileen O Driscoll of Kilmichael and the grooms parents are Patrick and Kathleen Shanahan of Kilbaha.
On Saturday, July 12th Caroline Hanrahan married Christopher Harnett in The Church of the Assumption, Moyvane. Fr. John Lucid PP officiated. Best man was Martin Enright, groomsmen were Alan Harnett and Paddy McElligott. Olivia Hanrahan, Bridie Hanrahan and Caroline Scanlon were bridesmaids. Flower girl was Aoife Scanlon and Pageboy Alex Quinn. The bride is daughter of John & Kathy Hanrahan of The Hill Moyvane. The groom is son of Christy & Eileen Harnett of Listowel.
CHARITY CEILI :
Deirdre and Teresa Lenihan wish to thank everyone who attended the Charity Ceili in Knockaderry Resource Centre on Friday, July 25th. A total of €1,225 was raised for the Irish Cancer Society. A huge thank you to the Striolan Ceili band who played superb music as always.

RECENT DEATHS:
Sympathy is extended to the family of Joseph (Joe) Woods-McConville of Tubbertoureen, Moyvane who died recently at a young age. He is survived by his wife Kay, daughter Christina, sons Christopher & Michael, father Chris, mother Molly, sister Clare brother-in-law Tom and extended family. Requiem Mass was celebrated in the Church of the Assumption, Moyvane with burial afterwards in Ahavoher Cemetery, Moyvane.
Bridie May Moore of Keylod died recently at her home in her 96th year. Formerly Bridie May Sheehy of Upper Aughrim she was predeceased by her husband Michael and daughter Mairead. She is survived by her sons Jim (Castlebar), Tom, and Michael, sisters and brothers, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, nephews and nieces and extended family. Removal took place from her home on Monday, July 21 to Corpus Christi Church, Knockanure for Requiem Mass. Burial took place afterwards in Ahavoher Cemetery, Moyvane.
The death also took place of Margaret Twohig of Fermoy and Ballyhooly in her 98th year. Formerly Margaret Collins of Ahalahana, Moyvane she was the last surviving member of the Collins family and was sister of the late Willie, John, Patrick, Minnie, Nora & Eileen. Sympathy is extended to her relatives.
